We are the Whisper Theatre Collective, and we focus on creating ensemble-devised physical and experimental theatre. We are comprised of five individuals who have been training and performing together since 2017, having first met in a LeCoq-based MFA. Our work stems from the body first, focusing on the poetic, grotesque, and abstract embodiment of themes and material that inspires us, and then we structure and build upon them. We enjoy mixing old and new forms and styles of theater to create subversive, visceral, and introspective productions.

Our long-term goal as a collective is to foster community amongst the artists in the physical theatre and devised theatre scenes in Chicago, cultivating a place of resources for us to support each other and thrive.
